Swindon Fleet All Wrapped Up Ready for Weekly Food Waste Collections
Swindon Borough Council is rolling out weekly food waste recycling collections this Autumn and has introduced a new fleet of vehicles to facilitate this service, aimed at increasing the Borough’s recycling rate and reducing the town’s carbon footprint.
The vehicles have been wrapped with the message "REDUCE. REUSE. RECYCLE" to encourage residents to participate actively in recycling efforts. Creative Vehicle Wrapping (CVW) has already wrapped 19 refuse vehicles equipped with food pods, with a fleet of Romaquip Kerb Sort vehicles soon to be wrapped as well, ensuring everything is ready for the collection roll-out.
Ian McKinnon, Fleet Manager at Swindon Borough Council, shared his thoughts:
We are very happy with the standard of wrapping and the service from Creative Vehicle Wrapping. The wrap design and messaging will attract attention and help to encourage residents to recycle their food waste.
